How faeries can lend their magick
Faeries, even if they may seem up-beat
and happy, have extreme magickal properties. Some faeries, called 'Muses', lend powers such as music and poetry to people
who please them. Some songs such as 'Londonberry Air' and 'The Finger Lock' are said to be by people who were blessed by Muses.
Even though faeries lend magickal blessings,
they also help with witchcraft and spells. If you are looking for faerie help in a spell, remember that they hate greedy spells
and spells strictly for personal gain.
In order to attract faeries to
your spellworkings, call them out by name. For example, if you need help in a spell relating to
healing the earth, call upon a gnome to lend its powers. Always remember to thank a faerie by leaving offerings of
milk, bread, or honey. NEVER say "thank you" to a faerie, they resent it and will expect you to return the favor in
a less lazy way.
Saying that, faeries also have a much darker
side. Faeries, like many other spirits, can leave curses and hexes. Before you jump into trying to put a curse
on someone else with a faerie's help, it is highly unlikely the faerie will help, and even if one does, it will probably
be a malevolent faerie who only wants to only do harm to you.
